Nearly killed by a Neanderthal
Two days ago I was nearly killed by a person I never met. I don’t even know the sex of this person, although, given the nature of the incident, I strongly suspect it was the male of the species.
I was a passenger in a car being driven along a dangerous, twisting, country road with a continuous white line when we were tailgated by a Neanderthal driving a large, powerful car. When I say ‘tailgated’ I mean this moron was inches from our rear bumper.
In an effort to activate some brain cells in this low life we hit the hazard lights but instead of making him see sense the idiot immediately, and without thought, pulled out and overtook us.
We were about half way down a steep hill with a sharp turn to the right at the bottom so the idiot was, in effect, gambling that there was no oncoming traffic around the blind bend.
But there was oncoming traffic so the moron had to make an emergency swerve back onto our side of the road before putting the pedal to the floor and drove off at a speed that put all other road users in danger but obviously satisfied his Neanderthal instincts.
My immediate reaction was the wish that this road scum would remove himself from the rest of civilized humanity by implanting himself and his car in the nearest stone wall where, dying an agonising death, he would be informed by the few brain cells he possessed that this last act was the most productive event in his entire miserable life.
Now, two days later, after my anger has dissipated and I’ve had time to calmly reflect on the incident how do I feel about the Neanderthal – The very same.
